Thus, for example, can be seen that tell you things like, "Uh oh, I do not know anybody here. I can not go to people and start talking. Think I'm weird. They account I'm nervous. .. "Just with these thoughts is enough to make you sweat. Also with the help of a therapist, you learn how to analyze those thoughts and evaluating their accuracy. You replaced by more realistic thoughts like: "I do not know anybody here, but can have a good time anyway. There are probably other people here who feel shy type and could use someone to talk to. I hear different conversations and see if any of them are interesting. If I feel comfortable, I can introduce somebody and ask few questions about themselves … "Other forms of therapy that are useful include somatic therapy – which helps to develop awareness and control of physical symptoms of anxiety that occur – and the psychology of self in which more compassion and acceptance of himself as to their needs, feelings and personality traits are explored and understood. Treatment of social anxiety has a very high rate luck, so do not hesitate to seek a therapist with experience who can help.

So. . . can you cure panic attacks?
The simple answer is YES!
A lot of people have this misconception that they are stuck with panic attacks forever. This beliefs comes from their doctors and psychologists who tells them that there are no such thing as panic attacks cure.
These medical professional tells you to learn to live with panic attacks. They teach you “coping technique”, “breathing exercises” and ask you to change your life style to suit your anxiety. They give you medication to subdue your panic attacks. No one question their methods because they are medical professional – its all “medically proven”.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not condemning these medical professionals. Some of them do an excellent job in helping people, but the fact remains that there’s still a lot people out there who do not respond well to their treatment methods and are still suffering from panic attacks.
People need an alternative! They don’t need to be stuck taking medicine forever or even have this beliefs that they are “incurable”.
Panic attacks is NOT incurable. Its not even a mental illness. Somehow along the way, your “panic alarm” gets messed up. It goes off for no reason even though your not in any danger – this is panic attack!
So. . . can you cure panic attacks? YES! You just have to learn how to fixed this “panic alarm”, its that simple! Does this sound incurable? Obviously NOT!
The KEY thing to take note is fear. What’s make panic attack difficult to stop? Fear. The fear of having a heart attack during panic attack. The fear of fainting during a panic attack. The fear that you might actually die from a panic attack. The cure to panic attacks is to stop this irrational fear.
Your heart is pounding madly and your chest hurts, you think its a heart attack. . . but ITS NOT! This sort of heart activity is usually reserved for vigorous activity (for example:exercising), when you don’t notice it as much. Its suppose to feel this way when your in “panic mode”.
You feel dizzy and weak, you think your going to faint soon. . . but YOUR NOT! This sensation is caused by hyperventilation – when your breathing too fast and taking in too much oxygen. Having too much oxygen in your blood will disrupt its normal flow, your brain automatically restrict blood flow to balance out the low carbon dioxide levels – resulting in light-headedness.
As you can see, every symptom your experiencing is caused by the body. Your not stuck with some “mysterious illness”. Furthermore, your body CANNOT kill itself and that’s why you having nothing to fear. Panic attack CANNOT kill you.

Does anyone suffer with daily anxiety related nausea. Well, I have your answer right here. Word of advice, don't rely on any pill for anxiety. Very addictive. They work at first but then the anxiety comes back even worse, then you have to increase the dose. It keeps going like this til you learn to deal with anxiety the right way or you spend the rest of your life searching for a new pill to decrease your anxiety. I should clarify, any anti-depressant medication would be fine to take. Any pill that ends in "Pam" stay far far away. This is how my addiction started. It lasted for 2 and a half years. I ended up addicted to benzodiazepines(tranquilizers) and doing a lot of street drugs. just a word of caution, cause they have the power to control you without you even knowing. good luck

Is there a medication out there for Panic Disorder that doesn't cause weight gain ( except for Wellbutrin? ). Today I found out that… Weight gain is only a possible side effect, and if you have true panic disorder, a few pounds isn't going to be a big deal once you get your panic attacks under control. I was on Xanax, which was great, and didn't cause any weight gain for me. For more long term stuff, I was on Lexapro, and that didn't cause any weight gain either, and Effexor XR actually caused me to lose weight. Hope this helps some, and hope you get help..

Can hormonal changes cause anxiety for a 46 year old woman? Is there any over the counter medicine to take for it. From what I can tell… A big yes. Hormones like estrogen and progesterone play a critical role in anxiety. Women are more than twice as likely as men to feel anxiety, especially during the hormonal ups and downs of PMS, perhymenopause, and menopause. Anxiety is often the first sign of perhymenopause. Many women experience rampant anxiety symptoms when they first wean off HRT.
